David Eynon
Managing Director
I am a senior underwriting leader with more than 40 years’ experience building and managing Financial Lines and Specialty portfolios across Lloyd’s, global carriers, and high-growth MGA environments. My career has centred on developing profitable underwriting businesses, establishing disciplined control frameworks, and leading teams to deliver consistent, sustainable performance. I have managed portfolios ranging from start-ups to £250m GWP multi-class operations, with teams of up to 250 across international markets. My underwriting background spans Professional Liability, Directors & Officers, Management Liability, Financial Institutions, Medical Malpractice, Product Recall, Terrorism, Bloodstock, and other specialist classes. My approach combines entrepreneurial thinking with rigorous underwriting principles. I set clear objectives, build strong broker relationships, and create an environment where teams can perform with confidence and accountability. Throughout my career - whether at QBE, Sagicor at Lloyd’s, Manchester Underwriting, Pen Underwriting, or now Subscribe MGA - I have focused on growing portfolios to meaningful scale while maintaining underwriting discipline and reputation. I have significant board-level exposure, having served on the QBE Europe Board and Manchester Underwriting Board, along with regular reporting to the Sagicor Syndicate Board. This experience has shaped my understanding of governance, risk appetite, strategic alignment, and the broader commercial dynamics that underpin successful underwriting platforms. Today at Subscribe MGA, I am leading the development of a UK and internationally focused Financial Lines business, building the binder, pricing frameworks, product suite, underwriting governance, and systems from inception. I enjoy developing talent, creating “can-do” cultures, and working closely with brokers to build sustainable, profitable businesses. My focus is always on clarity, discipline, and delivery.
